Emmanuel Bernard joins host Rober Brinkley on Episode 119 of the Java Spotlight for a discussion of JSR-349 Bean Validation 1.1. Bernard, the data platform architect at JBoss by Red Hat and member of the Hibernate team, has lead the JPA implementation of Hibernate. In addition, he founded and leads Hibernate Search, Hibernate Validator and Hibernate OGM. Bernard is a member of the JPA 2.1 expert group and the spec lead of Bean Validation. He is a regular speaker at various conferences and JUGs and the co-author of Hibernate Search in Action published by Manning.

Co-spec Leader Colebourne Has Long History of Involvement with Java
Stephen Colebourne is the guest and JSR 310 the subject under discussion with host Roger Brinkley in Episode 118 of Java Spotlight. Kabutz, a Java programmer living on the beaches of the Island of Crete, the home of his "Java Specialists' Newsletter. Brinkley describes Kabutz as someone bent on pushing the Java envelope, which gives him a perspective on how to create new enum values on-the-fly -- not altogether a good idea but one that has its uses -- along with tips on Java coding style and threading. Brinkley warns that the episode is only for advanced Java programmers and those with a sense of humor.
