03 Sep 2017 Scaling IoT Devices Using .Net [66051]
Tuesday, September 12th, 2017: 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Axis Space - Ft. Lauderdale

Communication with IoT devices can be difficult to do at scale. Getting an architecture in place that allows you to handle the asynchronous and concurrent back-and-forth chatter with a myriad of devices, all with different capabilities, protocols, behaviors, can be challenging to say the least.

In this session, our presenter, Julio Sanchez, will give an overview of several patterns and practices for managing both asynchronous and concurrent communications with heterogeneous IoT devices using dataflow-style programming methods, .NET, C#, and the TPL Dataflow library.

This booming field, moving from strictly research to the marketplace, is advancing rapidly, yet security issues abound.

This book explains the fundamental concepts of IoT security, describing practical solutions that account for resource limitations at IoT end-node, hybrid network architecture, communication protocols, and application characteristics. Highlighting the most important potential IoT security risks and threats, the book covers both the general theory and practical implications for people working in security in the Internet of Things..."
