New Options and Tools for the Sun Ultra 20 Workstation
Dual-core and Single-core Processing, Graphics and Development Tools

The Sun Ultra 20 Workstation now has two new CPU options, two graphics accelerator options and improved pre-installed software development tools. These new options include dual-core processing capability, single core workstation processor, high-end 3D workstation-class graphics, entry-level 3D workstation-class graphics, the Sun Java Studio Enterprise 8 and NetBeans IDE.

Sun Ray Thin Clients Recruited by the U.S. Navy

Sun Ray thin clients have been recruited to serve with the United States Navy due to their small size, stateless nature and inherent security. The U.S. Navy will deploy the company's Sun Ray thin clients connected to servers running the Trusted Solaris operating system.

Solaris10 OS Patches for Users of Sun Ray Thin Clients
Get More Efficient Compression for Faster Refresh of Login Screen

Sun has released Solaris 10 Operating System (Solaris OS) patches for users of Sun Ray thin clients. Updates with these patches change the login background image to allow Sun Ray thin clients to more efficiently compress it, so the login screen can refresh faster over low-bandwidth connections.
