An alpha release of the build of SunTM Studio compilers for the Linux OS is available for download from the Sun Download Center. Interested parties are invited to download this version, which is being made freely available to the Linux community for evaluation purposes on x64 (AMD64) and x86-based systems. Sun does caution that alpha releases are technology previews, and therefore lack the exacting standards expected of market-ready products from the company. Newer builds will continue to be added and developers are asked to check periodically to keep updated with the latest software preview release.
Interested developers who download the latest alpha build are encouraged to read the installation readme file and then to sign up for notification and updates on future engineering builds.

This current version of the Sun Studio 10 is available for download with this production level release of the tools.
