Sun announced this month that Ingrid van den Hoogen has been named vice president of worldwide communications and marketing, replacing Andy Lark, who held this position for the past three years.
Van den Hoogen is moving from Sun's brand experience and community marketing where she was vice president, reported Stephen Shankland
with CNET News.com. As head of that division, she led efforts to boost recognition of the Sun JavaTM software brand, among other tasks. In her new post, she'll keep that responsibility, Sun spokeswoman May Petry said.
Recently, Sun released a statement that said Lark left the company to pursue other opportunities.
