With Sun customers migrating to the Sun StorEdgeTM 9990, 9970 and 9980, the company has decided to EOL the Sun StorEdgeTM 9960 and 9910 systems that will be available for customers to order until February 18, 2005, with their last ship date set for May 20, 2005, and end of service life set for May 20, 2010.

Components of the Sun StorEdge 9960 and 9910 systems such as the hard disk drives, disk array frame unit, disk adapters, cache memory, shared memory and assorted power options, will remain available through late Q4FY05. It should be noted that availability of components could be contingent upon field returns. Therefore, availability and lead times may vary across feature type with the exception of 146 GB 10K rpm hard disk drives.
