Ingrian Networks Inc. has expanded its support for cryptographic APIs. Through its adoption of the Public Key Cryptography Standard (PKCS) #11, the Ingrian DataSecure Platforms now easily integrate with SolarisTM Operating System (Solaris OS), Windows and Linux environments.

Ingrian DataSecure Platforms strive to ensure that sensitive information is impervious to attacks. Whether the data is at rest, in transit or in use, its intelligent, granular control deciphers what data is to be protected. Now that Ingrian supports PKCS #11, its products will meet the RSA Security specifications for the cryptographic token interface standard that defines the technology-independent programming interface for cryptographic applications.

Available security capabilities with the Ingrian DataSecure Platforms include:

  • Encrypting critical data in Web, application and database servers

  • Ensuring all access to critical data is carefully managed, logged and controlled

  • Administration of keys and policies is conducted in a secure, centralized fashion

  • Ensuring security processing is highly scalable and reliable

"With this release's support for applications written to the PKCS #11 standard, we're making it easier for customers to secure data in a broader range of environments -- and significantly increasing the potential market for our leading data privacy solutions," said Karim Toubba, Ingrian's vice president of product management and marketing. "This new release will ultimately make it easier and more cost effective for a range of enterprises to secure critical data, whether it is in applications, databases, or storage systems."
