Sun is upping the industry ante. The company continues breaking world
records. Most recently setting a TPC benchmark record with two Sun
FireTM V440 servers in a clustered configuration running Sybase IQ
Multiplex 12.5 [13067].
Plus, the recent appointment of John Fowler as executive vice president
for Network Systems is set to strengthen Sun's position in the industry
standard network computing infrastructure market [13068].
Focus also is on fulfilling the long-term agreement propositions
outlined with Microsoft to increase interoperability in heterogeneous
