Sun StorEdgeTM Remote Response Spectrum Instant Upgrade Program allows buyers to receive 3 years of Sun SpectrumSM Instant Upgrade (SIU) Gold 7 by 24 or Platinum support and only pay for 2 years. Just activate the Sun StorEdgeTM Remote Response (SSRR) Service on Sun StorEdgeTM 6300 systems or Sun StorEdgeTM 6900 systems to take advantage of this offer.

With a service call to the Customer Care Center requesting SSRR activation, validation will occur for discounted pricing on the SSRR program. Customers will be required to provide SSRR activation information to the Sun remote activating engineer, who will explain analog phone line and modem requirements.

The SSRR program is a premium remote service, offering faster reaction times, improved system's availability on SSRR supported systems and 24 hour access to Sun's storage experts. With this program, customers receive proactive monitoring, early detection of component or system anomalies, faster response and reaction to alerts and alarms, remote diagnosis and repair, increased system availability, minimized downtime and an overall reduced cost of ownership.

This global promotion ends October 29, 2004, and is available at all locations where Sun StorEdge 6300 systems and Sun StorEdge 6900 systems are sold and SSRR can be activated.
