JavaTM technology power: That is how Sun CEO Scott McNealy summed
up his keynote
presentation at the CTIA Wireless 2004 conference in Atlanta this past
week. Sun impressed industry watchers with a multitude of new
partnerships and numerous new developments.
"The Java technology-powered environment is now outshipping the Microsoft world,"
McNealy told CTIA attendees during his keynote. "Deal with it."

the newsmaker amongst his keynote speaker colleagues with multiple
announcements, including:
Sun's partnership with Research In Motion (RIM) to extend mobile
JavaTM Web
Services technology to Blackberry customers, which number over one million [12623].
Sun JavaTM Desktop System will be operating in conjunction with
AT&T Wireless' EDGE data network beginning this fall, which will enable
users to leverage a fully mobile laptop client while staying connected
to the Internet, accessing their corporate networks or checking their
email [12626].
The expansion of services offerings through Sun's launch of the
Network Equipment Provider (NEP) Lifecycle Services Program [12625].
