The Sun FireTM V20z Server Maintenance and Troubleshooting Web-based
course (WET-4682-90) focuses on training in replacing components in the
server. This class spends half its time on lab exercises.
Students such as OEMs and channel partners can use the interactive,
hands-on and practical exercises to learn about component replacement
and functional verification on this server.
Prerequisites include the ability to perform system administration
on the Linux operating environment and on the SolarisTM Operating
System (Solaris OS).
Goals of the course include knowledge of the key features and technologies of the Sun Fire V20z server and how it relates to other Sun servers. Other goals include:
- Describe the architecture and internal system components of the server
- Install the server into a rack
- Describe and configure service processor
- Perform CRU removal and replacement
- Install and configure software on the Sun Fire V20z server
- Perform troubleshooting
- Explain and implement Sun Fire V20z server-specific Enterprise
Installation Services (EIS) procedures (internal and partner audiences
only)
