Sun to Deliver Systems with AMD Opteron Processors

When Scott McNealy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Sun, spoke at COMDEX on Monday, November 17, 2003, he announced a strategic alliance between Sun and AMD in which Sun will deliver new AMD Opteron processor-based Sun systems, versions of the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS), Linux OS and the Java platform. Sun and AMD will also develop future hardware and software offerings.
