SPC Benchmark Demonstrates Sun StorEdge 3510 FC Array Performance over IBM Array
17 Percent More Performance

Results of an SPC benchmark demonstrated that the Sun StorEdgeTM 3510 Fibre Channel (FC) system delivered 17 percent more performance, 33 percent more price-performance with 30 percent less storage than IBM TotalStorage FAStT600 with Turbo Option.

The Storage Performance Council (SPC) test was run on an entry-level Sun StorEdgeTM 3510 FC system with a Sun FireTM 6800 server and delivered 11,049.60 SPC-1 Inputs/Outputs Per Second (IOPS). Full configuration details and results are available at the SPC Web site:

The Sun StorEdge 3510 FC array is part of the Sun StorEdgeTM 3000 family, delivering value for the workgroup.
