Sun Expands HP Away Program with More Providers and Coverage in Europe
Added Resources Make Migration Easy

Sun has expanded its Sun HP Away migration program by making it available in Europe and by adding six migration solution providers and two ISVs. The mission of the HP Away migration program is to help customers move from the EOL'd Alpha/Tru64 to the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS).

Expanded Liberty Functionality Available in Sun Java System Identity Server
Helping Customers Deliver Mobility with Security

The Liberty Alliance approved its Phase 2 specifications on November 12, 2003. Sun is expanding the existing Liberty functionality of the Sun Java Enterprise System through its Sun Java System Identity Server (formerly Sun ONE Identity Server) to include support for Liberty's Phase 2 specifications. The alliance is providing a best practices guide.

Sun has cut prices and increased performance on some of its workstations. The Sun Blade 150 workstation will feature double the memory and disk capacity and a DVD-ROM at no additional cost. The Sun Blade 2000 workstation will be available for $3,000 less than the base configuration.
