Sun Debuts New Products, Solutions and Partnerships
Reducing Cost and Complexity

Sun is launching a new platform of programs and solutions that is designed to reduce the cost and complexity currently found in the telecommunications industry. The new platform should also significantly improve the time it takes for service providers and enterprises to add new features and services to their customers and end users.

Sun debuted its new offerings and programs at the recent International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in Geneva Switzerland. The event is held every four years. Its purpose is to set the global agenda for the future of networked communications and infrastructure.

"The number of people and devices connected to the network continues to grow at a phenomenal pace," said Marge Breya, senior vice president of marketing for Sun's Global Sales Organization. "As a long-time leader in the telco space, Sun is well positioned to extend its vision of the network to the edge -- enabling anyone, anywhere, anytime, on any device to be connected on demand. This next wave of communications is happening today and will be driven by what Sun calls the 'Personal Network'."
