Selected Session of the Month:

-TS-2208 -- Business Integration Solutions Using JavaTM Message Service (JMS), JavaTM 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EETM) Connectors, SOAP and JavaTM API for XML Messaging (JAXM): A Primer

Customers are always asking, "The JavaTM 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EETM) framework is very powerful, but I think the programming models offer too many ways to integrate Enterprise Applications with Messaging. My developers are constantly confused about when to use Java Message Service (JMS), SOAP, Java API for XML Messaging (JAXM), and J2EETM Connectors. Can you please straighten this out for me?"

The session is a primer on explaining the key technologies available for business integration solutions in the J2EE platform. Predominant approaches to solving business integration problems using these technologies are covered. We discuss common interaction patterns, along with issues that need to be taken into consideration and strategies for solutions.

Presenters: Venkat Amirisetty, George Tharakan and Linda Schneider from Sun Microsystems
