Sun Completes CenterRun Acquisition
Technology to be Used with Sun N1 Products and Services

Sun has completed its acquisition of CenterRun Inc., a privately-held company that provides software that allows customers to quickly provision, track and update their networked applications services. Sun will use the newly-acquired technology in its Sun N1TM product and services roadmap.

CenterRun's solutions work across many network devices to better reduce costs and increase availability and business advantage. When combined with Sun's N1 Provisioning Server, the solution will allow customers to efficiently operate data centers with a new degree of flexibility. The CenterRun unit has been folded into the Sun Software organization, headed by Jonathan Schwartz, executive vice president, Software.
