Part I," defines both utility computing (a method for consuming the
resources of a computer based on its utilization rather than its ownership)
and utility pricing (a method of billing customers for computer
resources they have consumed).
Dell has left the 8-way server market segment, arguing that
horizontally scaled 2- and 4-way servers will meet the needs of that
