Sun and several JAIN Community members are sponsoring a free, full
day seminar on August 26 at the Sun office in McLean, VA, focusing on how
Java technology is moving into the world of communications. Topics
include performance-oriented Java platforms, VoIP (Voice over Internet
Protocol) technology, presence, instant messaging, Session Initiation
Protocol (SIP) and call processing.
This two-day event in early September offers sessions from the Sun Code Camp program such as Developing Real World Services using Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE) and Developing Wireless Applications using MIDP 2.0, WMA and MMA. There will be a Java Jacket giveaway and sponsor pavilion, case studies and sponsor demonstrations.
The Software Development Conference and Expo, designed to offer
attendees critical business development training, will be held
September 15-18, in Boston. The event aims to provide useful
information on how to increase productivity through the addition of
best practices, quality design and proven management techniques to a
software application.
An upcoming conference on the vulnerabilities of uniform, tamper-proof
ID systems and data sharing will be offered by CardTech/SecurTech. The
event will address a range of issues from the Common Access Card to the
improvement of border and passenger security. The conference,
"Building Trust Through Identification Technologies," will be held
September 8-10, in Arlington, VA.
The Web Services Edge 2003 West conference aims to offer attendees a
full range of keynote speakers and technology program sessions. Sun's
Java University will be just one of the features, offering
code-level training from experts. The event will be held in Santa
Clara, CA, from September 30 to October 2.
As the microprocessor industry accelerates at a tremendous pace,
despite weak economic conditions, the 16th annual Microprocessor Forum (MPF)
aims to be the premier venue to gauge industry trends and meet key
industry players. The forum will be held October 13-16, in San Jose,
California.
