Oracle and Others Favor Open Development of Imminent Standardization

The Web Services Composite Application Framework (WS-CAF) has been published to solve problems that arise when multiple Web Services are used in combination to support information sharing and transaction processing. The Framework was jointly published by Arjuna Technologies, Fujitsu Software, IONA Technologies, Oracle and Sun.

Sun and Oracle are engaged in a joint sales training and telemarketing campaign to inform customers of the benefits of running Oracle solutions on Sun servers, specifically the newly released Oracle Collaboration Suite, release 2. Together Sun and Oracle want to reduce costs and give customers an improved collaboration platform.

A New Remote Monitoring System of Sun Fire Servers and Oracle 8i

Gas turbine manufacturer Mitsubishi Power Systems (MPS) needed to improve its remote monitoring system by making it accessible over the Web. They replaced their Microsoft system with a new one based on a combination of Oracle and Sun technology. The close Sun and Oracle relationship played a major role in MPS's selection of Sun and Oracle technology such as Sun Fire servers and Oracle 8i.
