Services from SunGard can be combined with Sun StorEdgeTM Availability Suite software, the Sun Enterprise Continuity or TruCopy technology for extending clusters and SANs over distances. Customers can minimize interruption of their business-critical information systems and maximize the availability of services.

SunGard Availability Services is an active participant in the SunTone Architecture Council, working to extend its efforts for information availability, an aspect of the SunTone specification. SunTone certification provides a quality seal of approval, confirming that SunGard Availability Services meets stringent scalability, availability, reliability and performance standards necessary for quality deployment and continuous availability of network service delivery.

The Chicago Board of Trade Clearing Corporation selected SunGard as a partner in business continuance.
