DTAC, the leading wireless carrier in Thailand, has chosen a joint solution from Mobilitec and Sun as the foundation for its new JavaTM technology and wireless content download services. The solution comprises Mobilitec's mPower on the Sun FireTM server, the SolarisTM Operating Environment (Solaris OE) and the SunTM Open Net Environment (Sun ONE) Application Server platform, which enables the introduction of a new platform for downloading of multiple content types, including Java technology applications, ring tones, pictures and melodies to the Thai market.

DTAC's primary goal is to provide sustainable services to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and competitive differentiation. This strategy drives DTAC to introduce cutting-edge technology to create a convenient and customizable framework to meet customers' requirements and expectations.

Mobilitec and Sun offer a feature-rich solution that provides great flexibility for launching new services. mPower's service management capabilities, configurable pricing models and promotional mechanism enables DTAC in providing best of class and innovative services to its subscribers.
