The Sun Professional ServicesSM program introduces the SunTM Cluster Implementation Services (CIS). Made up of six fixed price/variable scope and duration modules, CIS provides the design, configuration and testing to ensure that a new Sun Cluster system is functioning correctly with a customer's applications to help create a robust, operational environment. This service enables customers to purchase exactly the service they need to fit the wide variety of Sun Cluster configurations.

CIS provides the services needed to implement an application on a Sun FireTM clustered server. CIS provides node configuration, resource group configuration, agent setup, failover testing and runbooks for future reference. A management review ensures knowledge transfer from Sun to customers regarding the unique aspects of the Sun Cluster configuration created.

Node Configuration for Sun Cluster (PS-CLNODC):

• Design specification (the design specification and the installation specification from the EIS installation services are combined to form the build specification)

• Cluster security hardening

• Cluster management review of all modules

Resource Group Configuration for Sun Cluster (PS-CLRGRC):

• Complete and functioning resource groups

Standard Data Service for Sun Cluster (PS-CLSTND):

• Configured and tested standard Sun Cluster agent working with the customer's application

Custom Data Service for Sun Cluster (PS-CLCUSD):

• Configured and tested custom Sun Cluster agent working with the customer's application

Storage Architecture for Sun Cluster (PS-CLSTA):

• Storage architecture design document and complete storage configuration

Runbook for Sun Cluster (PS-CLRBK):
