SunSpectrum Instant Upgrade (SIU) benefits customers who are seeking additional support for their Sun systems due to the need for additional services not offered by the standard warranty coverage and/or the mission-critical nature of their IT environment.

When purchasing SIU at time of hardware sale, you are increasing your opportunity to optimize hardware availability and scalability by contracting for higher levels of support from day one of installation.

Having SunSpectrum integrated with hardware at the point of sale makes it easy and simple for customers to purchase Sun's latest technology. Another benefit of the SUI program is that GSO Sales can react more quickly to customer quote requests and shorten sales cycles by having service automatically quoted at the time of hardware sale. For each system, recommended service levels can automatically be quoted at the time of systems sale for customers to purchase. One part number, one price, 1 year/2 year/3 year contracts are available at Platinum, Gold, and Silver service levels, making ordering easier. Discounted list price with warranty and multi-year discount are factored in, along with applicable end user Category S service discounts. When the customer's SIU contract expires, it will be renewed as standard SunSpectrum contract.

A cartridge expansion kit is available to increase the cartridge count to 180.
