Sun Microsystems Inc. has accelerated development of new generations of
the UltraSPARC processor through the grand opening of a new
processor design compute ranch at the company's Burlington, Mass.
campus.
Sun has enhanced its iForce Partner Program model for channel
partners and improved associated partner support programs. Sun has
established eight new incentive programs to reward and recognize any
title transfer partners who have invested heavily in Sun's business;
have a unique value-add; lead with their own application solution on
the Sun platform; or can move the team into new accounts to which Sun
has not previously had access.
Sun and Infosys Technologies Ltd. have unveiled a new iForce solution
based on the Retail Banking Reference Architecture. Based on a
Web-based architecture, the Retail Banking Reference Architecture has

Sun Microsystems has listed five myths regarding the Solaris Operating

A new 12-month consulting license for the Sun StorEdge Availability

The license can be installed at an end user customer site for up to 45
days per engagement. After that point it will need to be re-installed
for the next 45 days as needed until the 12-month expiration.

CASPUR, a consortium of six Italian universities delivering
supercomputer services, has used Sun Grid Engine software for three years.
