To provide customers greater choice in deploying or streamlining a network identity infrastructure, Sun is working with five security partners to help integrate their solutions with the SunTM ONE Platform for Network Identity. As part of the joint sales and marketing agreements, the following software providers have teamed with Sun to deliver pre-tested solutions that provide greater choice and lower risk: Banyan Systems France, Business Layers, Entrust, Passlogix and Persistent.

The Sun ONE Platform for Network Identity is a combined hardware, software and services offering that helps organizations rapidly establish an open, end-to-end network identity infrastructure. Sun's integrated network identity solutions enable Web single sign-on, policy driven role-based access to applications and services and integrated user/identity management. The integration of partner applications with the Sun ONE platform gives enterprises the flexibility to deploy a tailored network identity solution, along with the assurance that the solution has been pre-tested and configured to reduce risk and time to deployment.

Sun's strategy of providing an integratable infrastructure based on open standards enables partners to easily interoperate their best-of-breed solutions with the Sun platform. Each partner provides a unique solution that will be integrated with the relevant component of the Sun ONE Platform for Network Identity:

• Banyan: Banyan's Meta Directory Connectors enable the enterprise to create and leverage a unified view of identity across data sources that reside in the enterprise IT environment.

• Business Layers: Business Layers' eProvision Software solution enables companies to automate policy-based provisioning of resources or services. As a result, it allows companies to deliver secured resources or services to the right people, at the right time.

• Entrust: Entrust TruePass, Entrust Authority and Entrust GetAccess software solutions interoperate with the open and integratable Sun ONE Platform, providing customers more flexibility in securely deploying their Network Identity solutions. Entrust products provide security and entitlements to help move critical applications online with reduced time and effort and lower total cost of ownership.

• Passlogix: Passlogix's v-GO SSO enables enterprises to automatically and seamlessly identify users and provide them with immediate access to the applications they need in order to perform their work by eliminating the password and user ID bottleneck.

• Persistent: Persistent's "ensure" seamlessly integrates existing data islands and applications into the Sun ONE Platform for creating an Unified Network Identity. Persistent's solutions allow businesses to realize increased ROI by enabling them to broaden their service offerings through better integration, internally and with partners, while protecting their existing investments in IT.
