Increases UNIX Market Lead as Well
According to the 2Q02 Worldwide Server Database by Gartner Dataquest,
Sun increased its revenue position with marketshare growth of 10.75
percent year-over-year and now holds second place with 18.44 percent
marketshare. Furthermore, with just under 80,000 units shipped and
$1.86 billion in revenue, Sun maintains a commanding lead as the number
one vendor in the UNIX market worldwide.

Three New SAP Programs
For mySAP.com E-business Solutions on the Sun Platform
Sun is introducing three new programs to meet mutual customers' requirements
for designing, implementing and managing mySAP.com e-business platform
solutions on the Sun platform. These programs include the SAP

For Digital Archiving Program
Sun and Stanford University have been independently
awarded two new, two-year grants totaling almost $3 million to the
LOCKSS ("Lots Of Copies Keep Stuff Safe") Program from the Andrew W.
Mellon Foundation and the National Science Foundation (NSF). The LOCKSS
program is a joint undertaking of Sun Labs and
Stanford University Libraries to develop a secure, reliable system
which safeguards and preserves access to digital publications.
