Sun Fire Servers with 1.05 GHz UltraSPARC III Cu Processor
Performance and Compute Power Boost
Sun is launching faster, high performance Sun Fire 3800, 4800,
6800, 12K and 15K servers that integrate the 1.05 GHz UltraSPARC III
Cu processor. These increase performance by 15 percent. They feature
interchangeable components such as Sun's Uniboard technology. This allows
900 MHz and 1.05 GHz UltraSPARC III Cu processors to run in the same
fault-isolated Dynamic System Domain within the same server.

Can be Upgraded in the Field
The new Sun StorEdge L25 and L100 modular tape libraries are
available with LTO SCSI HVD and Sun StorEdge DLT8000 HVD drives.
The Sun StorEdge L25 is a 25 LTO-cartridge (21 with DLT), 1-2 drive
stackable library and the Sun StorEdge L100 is a 100 LTO-cartridge (84
with DLT), 1-6 drive library. These libraries can be upgraded in the field.

through 3) online. The MIDP Style Guide provides recommendations for

common set of practices that are based on good UI and software design
principles, user studies and the specific requirements of MIDP.

Two-Gigabit Fibre Channel HBAs from SBS Technologies
Two Independent Channels on a Single-Wide PMC
The FC2312 family of 2 Gigabit Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs)
from SBS Technologies provide space-constrained embedded, real-time
networking and storage applications with two independent channels on a
single-wide PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC). Each FC2312 channel supports 400
MB/s full-duplex, 200 MB/s half-duplex data transfer rates, and
automatically negotiates the Fibre Channel bit rate.
