High-Performance Computing (HPC) Consortium Meeting November 10 and 11, 2001
The next HPC Consortium Meeting is November 10 and 11, 2001, Denver,
Colorado, in conjunction with the IEEE SC2001 Conference.
The HPC Consortium is a Sun Global Education and Research worldwide
customer forum which meets to research and discuss high-end scientific
and engineering computing issues and trends. While the Consortium is
primarily a technical computing user group meeting for academic and
research customers of Sun, any interested parties from industry and
government are welcome. Attendance is by invitation only and
availability is limited. Although attendance is not restricted to Sun
customers, non-customer participation must be approved by the
organizers. Please contact your Sun sales representative for an
invitation.
The meeting format is designed to give participants the opportunity to
present recent developments, discuss applications and needs with their
peers, and to hear and provide feedback on Sun engineering plans.
In addition to the general program the Consortium now has two special
interest groups (SIGs): the Computational Biology SIG and the Grid and
Portal Computing SIG. The SIGs meet as breakout sessions within the
Consortium meeting.
