iPlanet is participating in Interwoven's PortalReady program and plans to leverage Interwoven's PortalReady SDK to tightly integrate Interwoven's Content Infrastructure product suite with the iPlanetTM Portal Server.

"Combining a flexible portal framework with robust Content Infrastructure functionality has become increasingly mission critical as corporations seek to cost-effectively deliver a complex array of existing applications and content to multiple audiences," said Wes Wasson, vice president of product marketing for iPlanet.

The interoperability between the iPlanet Portal Server and Interwoven Content Infrastructure will be accomplished in stages as part of a continuing relationship. The integrated offering leveraging the new SDK will enable content contributors across an enterprise to access vital content infrastructure capabilities -- including content collaboration, content management and approval workflow -- from within iPlanet Portal Server channels.

For customers needing an interim solution, iPlanet offers an interoperability module for users of the iPlanet Portal Server 3.0 and Interwoven TeamSite software. This module offers access to the Content Infrastructure product functionality and content preview capabilities through a portal channel.
