Yantra Corporation's product, the Multi-Enterprise Order Management application is a web-based supply chain application to manage a full order lifecycle running at a sustainable rate of 100,000 order lines per hour. The performance test more than doubled the scalability record for e-business transaction volumes.

Performed in Sun's Enterprise Technology Center, the test simulated the high-volume, multi-enterprise environments found in Global 2000 companies. Yantra's Multi-Enterprise Order Management application managed the complete lifecycle of a complex customer transaction. Five hundred simulated customer service representatives accessed the system concurrently to perform order modifications, queries and returns processing.

Yantra's Multi-Enterprise Order Management is a pure JavaTM technology, JavaTM 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EETM) technology compliant application that extends existing Enterprise Resource Planning and supply chain systems by efficiently coordinating buy and sell orders across multiple business units, regions, divisions, enterprises, suppliers, and marketplaces. Its highly-flexible architecture enables companies to manage complex business models, multiple workflows, and many-to-many relationships.

The performance test replicated 500 concurrent users in a full workload production schedule running multiple agents together, making multiple queries and auto-modifications to each order. It ran on a J2EE technology-compliant application server cluster and an industry-leading relational database on the Sun Platform running the SolarisTM Operating Environment.
