XXL Sun Blade 100 With 2GB Memory
For Users With Large Memory Demands

Sun has introduced a Sun Blade 100 Configuration with 2 GB of memory and two 15 GB internal disk drives.

This configuration is targeted at customers whose applications have large memory demands such as VLSI designers, verification engineers, and MCAD users with large models.

These systems support applications that run on Solaris 8 Release 10/00. All OpenGL and Java 3D API compatible applications are supported. However, some applications may require updates to take advantage of all of Sun Expert3D-Lite graphics capabilities.

All Sun Blade 100 workstation models have the following features:

- On-board PGX64 2D graphics with HD15 connector - Three full-length 33-MHz/32-bit PCI slots - 4 memory DIMM slots supporting up to 2 GB of memory - Up to two 15-GB 7200-RPM internal EIDE drives - IEEE 1394 and USB ports - Desktop form factor - Performance (SPECint2000: 174; SPECfp2000: 182) - Solaris 8 Release 10/00 pre-installed

X options including existing products such as Sun PGX32 graphics, Network Interface Cards (NICS), and SunPCi II Coprocessor Card, are included in the Sun Blade 100 workstation. [...read more...]
