The world's premier system for TV weather graphics used by television broadcast stations, convergence media operators and service providers is now available on Sun platforms.

Effective immediately, customers using WeatherOne's Metacast Ultra weather system can now run the advanced application on Sun hardware, which is designed to provide greater scalability, reliability, and performance, yet features much lower prices than other hardware vendors in the market.

WeatherOne is the seller of Metacast Ultra, an award-winning, fully-integrated weather graphics presentation system, which is currently used by more than 100 TV stations in the United States, Europe, South America, and Africa. Meteorologists use the software to analyze the weather in real-time and present the forecast using powerful graphics. Metacast Ultra has advanced 2D time animation, pattern-free symbol animation, advanced 3D terrain modeling, and FlyThrus, and imported 3D objects. The software enables 2D graphics to be transformed into smooth, fast-moving 3D animation in seconds, and content creators can produce an entire show in a matter of minutes.
