Sun has extended its agreement through 2004 with Key3Media Group to produce the annual JavaOne Developer Conference. The Key3Studios division of Key3Media Events, Inc. will work closely with Sun to develop, promote, and produce future JavaOne events.

The JavaOne conference, held each June in San Francisco, is the leading event for Java developers, and the largest developer event of its kind in the world. The event was established by Sun in 1996 and has been produced by Key3Studios since its inception.

Sun Microsystems established the JavaOne Developers Conference to create educational and community building opportunities for Java technology developers and businesses. Last June, the event attracted more than 25,000 software developers and over 330 exhibiting companies, with over 190 conference sessions.

The next JavaOne conference is scheduled for June 4 - 8, 2001, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The event will feature keynotes by industry luminaries, a comprehensive conference program, and an exhibition floor.
