Sun's dot-com campaign hit the nail on the head. People say great, Sun, you're the dot in dot-com, but how do we begin? So Sun created the iForce initiative to answer the what, why, how, and who of dot-comming a business. Sun's iForce initiative is a comprehensive program that brings together the products, technologies, and services customers need to dot-com their business quickly, easily and effectively.

Sun recognizes that the needs of startups and established bricks-and-mortar companies are different. Established companies have a current way of doing things, which to some extent, has to be preserved when moving to the Internet. But startups, which have no legacy IT environment, can literally start from scratch. They have the ability to outsource much of their business without creating conflict within an organization. So there is a big difference in how some companies are managed, and how the Net is built in.

Companies large and small, old and new, will find that the iForce Community, which is a dynamic interaction between Sun and its partners, can deliver dot-com solutions to address the needs of all of these customers, and it starts with Sun's iForce methodology.
