SunScreen Secure Net has been repriced to reflect current market conditions. The SunScreen Secure Net product is a bundled solution which includes SunScreen EFS 3.0 and SunScreen SKIP software, and allows the user to help establish a secure business network. The Secure Net 3.0 product includes SunScreen EFS on both SPARC and Intel Platform Editions as well as SunScreen SKIP clients for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, and the Solaris Operating Environment (SPARC and Intel Platform Editions).

New Features

Several major enhancements have been made for SunScreen Secure Net 3.0. First, SunScreen EFS and SunScreen SPF software are merged to allow selection of stealth (no IP address) on an individual interface basis. The customer can configure SunScreen products to be a stealth box, like the current SunScreen SPF-200 software including hardening the operating system. Conversely, the customer could select a few interfaces to be stealth and elect for other interfaces to be SunScreen EFS interfaces, thereby allowing for functionality like proxies. The merge gives SunScreen products a unique capability of using stealth when connecting to untrusted networks (example: Internet), while providing added functionality of proxies in other interfaces.

  • Secure Net- Allows one copy of SunScreen EFS software to be deployed to protect a department or small site of any size. Includes SunScreen SKIP software for Windows 95, Windows 98, Solaris, and Windows NT platforms for a maximum total of 250 clients.

Corporate Enterprise License

An enterprise license for the SunScreen Secure Net product can be used throughout an organization worldwide. A commercial organization is defined as a corporation and its wholly-owned subsidiaries. A government agency is the agency and all groups under their domain. The site license is priced by the size of the organization with 20,000 or less nodes. Organizations larger than 20,000 nodes need to negotiate with Sun to determine fair price.
