Oracle Critical Patch Update for October 2012 Issued

The Critical Patch Update for October was released on Oct 17, 2012, Steven Chan posts. Users are advised to apply the patches as soon as possible. He directs users to the Critical Patch Update Advisory as a first step. There users will find a list of products affected, pointers to obtain the patches, a summary of the security vulnerabilities, and links to other important documents. He further advises that supported products not listed in the "Supported Products and Components Affected" Section of the advisory do not require new patches to be applied, recommending that users consult the Critical Patch Update supporting documentation referenced in the Advisory before applying patches, to find important pertinent information. The next Critical Patch Update release date is January 15, 2013.
