Outsourcing Inc., a worldwide employment outsourcing business headquartered in Japan, has implemented a private cloud using an Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 engineered system. Outsourcing, with sales for the period ending December 2011 reaching a record high 32.3 billion Yen, is the first company in Japan to implement SPARC SuperCluster T4-4, which it uses to run its manufacturing and administrative operations outsourcing businesses. With the SPARC SuperCluster T4-4, Outsourcing projects significant savings from consolidating multiple complex enterprise applications, reducing system administration and moving from an external hosted service to its own virtualized cloud infrastructure based on the SPARC SuperCluster T4-4. The SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 combines Oracles SPARC T4-4 servers running Oracle Solaris 11 with the database optimization of Oracle Exadata, the accelerated processing of Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software, and the high throughput and availability of Oracles Sun ZFS Storage Appliance, all on a high speed InfiniBand backplane in an integrated, centrally managed, high performance system. The SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 provides Outsourcing with the scalability and capacity for future expansion as additional enterprise applications are migrated to the engineered system.
