Recommendations on the appropriate interfaces and tools for setting up and managing Oracle resources for virtual compute, memory, operating system, network, and storage are provided in a post by Ginny Henningsen. She frames the post in terms of: what does the virtualization product or technology do; what administrative interfaces can you use to implement and manage virtualized resources; and where can you go to learn more? Henningsen points out the utility of Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center, a centralized interface for managing and monitoring all Oracle systems across an IT infrastructure. She also suggests users become familiar with the Oracle utility OCDoctor that can qualify systems to see whether they meet the necessary prerequisites for Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center installation.
