Applications Can Be Stored, Deployed from Enterprise Manager 12c Self-Service Interface April 9, 2012,
Volume 170, Issue 2
With the release of Oracle Virtual Assembly Builder (OVAB) users can employ it in conjunction with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c to graphically model the topology of applications deployed to the cloud, define all dependencies and deployment constraints, and package the entire application in the form of what is termed an application assembly. This assembly can then be uploaded to the centralized software library in Enterprise Manager for self-service deployments, according to Anand Akela's post on oracle.com. Akela also reports that Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c now has a live link back to Oracle that will notify you of the availability of new assemblies and download them if you are interested. New database assemblies available via Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Self-Update will help customers deploy the cloud solution more easily on the Oracle VM platform. Customers can now create a zone of Oracle VM 3.x servers and deploy these assemblies from the Enterprise Manager 12c Self-Service interface.
