JavaOne 2011, scheduled for October 2-6 in San Francisco, will feature Java strategy, technical and community keynotes, as well as insight from industry leaders and Java technology experts and enthusiasts on a wide range of technical topics. JavaOne 2011 tracks cover everything from building modern applications using JDK 7, leveraging JavaFX to create client-side applications, to creating sophisticated Java-based cloud solutions and more.
The keynote lineup for the first two days includes such Oracle luminaries as Richard Bair, Chief Architect, Client Java Platform; Linda DeMichiel, Consulting Member of Technical Staff; Mark Reinhold, Chief Architect, Java Platform; and Hinkmond Wong, Consulting Manager of Technical Staff; addressing the JavaOne Technical Keynote and Adam Messinger, VP of Development Oracle Fusion Middleware; Cameron Purdy, Vice President, Development; and Hasan Rizvi, Senior Vice President, Fusion Middleware and Java; addressing the JavaOne Strategy keynote.
Also speaking will be Doug Fisher, Vice President and General Manager, Systems Software Division, Software & Services Group, Intel, who will deliver a keynote on Optimizing Java Intels Long Term Contributions, Keep Getting Better; and David Ward, Chief Architect, Platform Systems Division CTO, Juniper Networks, who will deliver a keynote on How Software-Defined Networks are Revolutionizing Development. On day five, the JavaOne Community keynote will feature key Java technology luminaries and visionaries who will address topics relevant to the broader community, including Java educational resources and information on community activation. Finally, Jason McGee, Distinguished Engineer, Chief Architect WebSphere Cloud Computing, IBM, will deliver a keynote, Cloud.contains(Java).
