"Oracle Solaris and Oracle Solaris Cluster: Extending Oracle Solaris for Business Continuity"
Improved High Availability with this Unbeatable Combination
The Oracle Solaris OS alone, explains the Oracle white paper "Oracle Solaris and Oracle Solaris Cluster: Extending Oracle Solaris for Business Continuity," offers comprehensive reliability features. Oracle Solaris Cluster goes much farther, however, providing nearly continuous access to data and applications by keeping the cluster running through failures that would normally bring down an application or service.

Session Management with MySQL
For Users Tired of Cookies
Addressing the stateless interaction between the user’s browser and the web server from which the pages are requested is one of the chief issues in web based applications. While this stateless interaction may be excellent for viewing pages at random or clicking through hyper links, many web applications require knowledge of a user’s interactions and current state on the website, as in online banking or ecommerce. The MySQL white paper "Session Management with MySQL" contends that MySQL and MySQL Cluster can be used as part of a cost-effective, high-performance, open-source solution for database–centric session management.

Brief Introduction to Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud
A Complete Solution to the Enterprise Cloud
The transformation of IT operations from a cost center to a profit center, says the Oracle white paper "Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud: A Brief Introduction" is the result, in part, of the development of a centralized, automated, scalable, monolithic infrastructure such as the subject technology. The paper calls the Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud " ... the world’s first engineered system specifically designed to provide enterprises with a foundation for secure, mission-critical private cloud capable of virtually unlimited scale, unbeatable performance, and previously unimagined management simplicity."

"Oracle Database on Sun SPARC Enterprise T-series Systems"
Considering When the Sun SPARC Enterprise M-series Server Line Might Be the Better Choice
The Oracle white paper "Oracle Database on Sun SPARC Enterprise T-series Systems" addresses systems architects who are evaluating Oracle Database deployment on Oracle’s T-Series Systems for their environment. While Oracle Database generally scales well on T-series servers, the paper notes, certain single-threaded operations do not. The paper identifies those deployment scenarios that are best suited for Oracle Database deployment on T-series servers and identifies use cases for which Oracle Database deployment on T-series servers is not recommended. In such cases, the paper recommends Oracle’s SPARC Enterprise M-Series servers.
