It is a great opportunity for attendees to learn what's on the minds of their peers in the community.
Unconference sessions are currently being scheduled during the JavaOne and Oracle Develop 2010 event. For anyone unfamiliar with the unconference concept, it is a venue allowing individuals to present their own session/workshop on a topic in an informal, interactive setting.
The Oracle Wikis Website has a list of current sessions expected to be presented at this year's unconference set to take place Sept. 19-23 at the Hotel Parc 55. The following are just a few examples of these sessions on the agenda:
"Performance and DTrace" to be presented by Brendan Gregg and others
"Everything A DBA Should Know About TCP/IP Networks" to be presented by Oracle ACE Gwen (Chen) Shapira
"Leveraging Cloud Computing in an ERP Ecosystem" to be presented by Mike Rulf, Oracle ACE Director
"Developer Coding Strategies for Very Large Databases" to be presented by Daniel Morgan, Oracle ACE Director
There also are expected to be a few presentations on Solaris and Oracle Sun Systems, however no definitive speakers or session titles have been posted.
Individuals interested in hosting their own sessions are welcome to log-in and share a description of the topic or propose a session to see if participants are interested.
