The site is offering some free Oracle Solaris training with content covering UFS, ZFS, Backups, and Restores for those wanting to become a Sun Certified System Administrator. There is also a free Solaris 10 Patching course that promises to help simplify patch management and save time.

New Free Training content (UFS, ZFS, Backups, Restores) for Sun Certified System Administrator (Part I)

Topics range from the basics to intermediate. The basics begin with five learning topics for those wanting an introduction to Solaris. Currently, these include:

• Searching and Process Manipulation
• Working with the Shell
• Archiving Files and Remote Transfer

For intermediate-level Solaris users, Oracle's Online Learning Center has multiple topics available, all of which, at the time of this writing, are in a beta status. Noted to be in preparation for the Sun Certified System Administrator, the learning material consists of:
