Oracle's Lifetime Support Policy
Documents List End of Support for Technology, Fusion Middleware Products and Applications

Customers should regularly review the Oracle Lifetime Support brochures on the Oracle Lifetime Support website for the latest updates.
 

Steven Chan, senior director in the Oracle Applications Technology Integration group, advises E-Business Suite systems administrators to review the Oracle Lifetime Support brochures. This is of particular importance to those with Oracle Application Server 10g versions 10gR2 10.1.2 and 10gR3 versions 10.1.3 whose Premier Support is ending this December.

He recommends regular visits to the Oracle Lifetime Support website to remain apprised of the latest updates, and lists three documents specifically to monitor for updates. These are:

Lifetime Support Policy: Oracle Technology Products

Oracle Support tells customers up front and with certainty how long their Oracle products will be supported. The Lifetime Support Policy provides access to technical experts for as long as customers license their Oracle products. There are three support stages:

  • Premier Support: provides a standard five-year support policy for Oracle Technology and Oracle Applications products

  • Extended Support: extend support for an additional three years for specific releases

  • Sustaining Support: receive indefinite technical support

More detailed information on each of these support levels is provided along with specific information on Oracle technology products and their respective support end dates.

The products covered are Oracle Database releases, Oracle’s Ikan releases, Oracle Collaboration Suite releases, Oracle Enterprise Manager releases, Oracle Rdb and Oracle CODASYL Database releases, Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database releases, Oracle Berkeley DB (Formerly Sleepycat) releases, Oracle Database Lite releases, Oracle Reliaty Backup release, Oracle Secure Backup releases, Oracle Warehouse Builder releases, Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Extended Process Integration (XPI) releases, Oracle’s Auptyma release, Oracle’s Moniforce releases, Oracle Express Server release, Oracle Gateway release 9.2, Oracle Gateway release 10.1, Oracle Gateway release 10.2, Oracle’s TripleHop releases, Oracle Secure Enterprise Search, Oracle Application Express (Formerly HTML DB), Oracle Fail Safe , Oracle's Empirix releases, Oracle’s ClearApp releases, Oracle’s mValent releases, Oracle Virtual Iron releases, and Oracle Exadata Storage Server Software.

Lifetime Support Policy: Oracle Fusion Middleware Products

This document covers Oracle Fusion Middleware releases; Oracle Application Grid releases; Business Intelligience; Enterprise 2.0; Identity and Access Management; SOA, EDA, Governance, and BPM Suite; and Oracle's BEA Releases.

As noted with the Oracle Technology products, the same general support policy applies along with the three listed levels of support. Tables provide a quick glance at each of these application products' end of support dates for each support level.
