Barfurth recommends two possibilities: Non-smart card mobile (NSCM) sessions and token aliasing (in cases where NSCM is not an option because of the use of Kiosk Mode's being in use.
The blogger discusses the limitations involving the use of NSCM (he concedes it is not as comfortable to use as smart-card-based hotdesking) but says, "If you are not affected by these restrictions or can live with them, then NSCM is clearly the method of choice to obtain sessions that can be hotdesked to SDAC."
With Kiosk Mode in use, as mentioned above, NSCM will not work, so Barfurth recommends token aliasing and details the steps to its implementation, as well as the limitations that go along with its use, the principal one being, "... if more than one aliased tokens are connected at once, only one of them can get access to the session," which leads to ping-ponging. Barfurth presents a remedy for this situation.
