OpenSolaris 2009.06 Launch Set for June 1st
Live Webcast Also to Preview Latest Enhancements to Sun Cloud

Sun introduces the latest release of OpenSolaris and previews the latest enhancements to the Sun Cloud at CommunityOne West.
 

CommunityOne West is expected to start off with a bang as Sun launches OpenSolaris 2009.06 and previews the latest enhancements to the Sun Cloud. A live webcast beginning at 9 a.m. ET with Sun Systems EVP John Fowler and Sun Cloud Computing Senior VP and Chief Sustainability Officer David Douglas is set for June 1, 2009 - day one of the open developer conference that runs through the 3rd and starts off the week of Sun's Moscone Center events, which also includes the 2009 JavaOne Conference.

The live webcast promises to cover how to develop, debug, and globally deploy applications faster with innovative features built into OpenSolaris and full production support from Sun.

Also during the webcast, get information on the latest developments with the Sun Cloud, a public cloud infrastructure based on OpenSolaris and other Sun technologies that provides access to highly scalable and available compute and storage infrastructure over the Internet via a set of open, RESTful web service APIs and protocols.

CommunityOne activities and events will be available on Twitter and Facebook.

More than 200 technical sessions and over 100 Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) sessions highlight this year's JavaOne Conference taking place June 2-5th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
