What's on the Horizon for Sun Java Communications Suite 6 Behind the Scenes for Update 2
Communications Suite 6 Update 2 brings many changes and new features on the horizon - everything from virtualization to mail, messaging, administrator access, express communications and more. Beta versions will be released by the Calendar Server (CalDAV server) and the indexing and Search Service.

This update provides access to directory either through the direct LDAP access or through the Access Manager. "By using direct LDAP access, Delegated Administrator removes the former dependence on Access Manager. You can now provision Communications Suite domains, users, and groups without installing or using Access Manager," according to the Sun Factotum Documentation Handyman. In addition, consumer attributes can be applied as well as maintaining customized Configuration During Upgrades.
