Voting is underway for the SOA Readers' Choice Awards with readers able to cast their votes in 19 categories through December 31st. Accelerates Designing, Development, and Testing of UltraSPARC T2 Designs
Sun's UltraSPARC T2 Reference Design Kit (RDK) released this week gives system designers the essential tools necessary to design, test, and verify designs based on this CMT technology. The kit comes with CMT development tools, complete board level design database, Solaris 10 and Linux boot options, and more. Also included is an eATX form-factor motherboard with a host of interconnect options and an eight-core, 1.2 GHz UltraSPARC T2 processor.

A recent report analyzing climate change governance practices at 63 of the world's largest companies finds Sun has more than just talked about eco-responsibility, but has taken strong action. The company placed third in the technology sector and scored 25 points higher than the overall median score covering 11 industry sectors.

Sun StorageTek HiCommand Tuning Manager v6.1
Adds Support for Windows 2008, Red Hat Linux 4.6 and 5.2, AIX 6.1 and 5.3, and More

Sun has announced the release of Sun StorageTek HiCommand Tuning Manager v6.1, developed for the Sun StorageTek 9990V, 9985V, 9990, and 9985, along with Sun StorEdge 9910, 9960, 9970, and 9980. This latest release includes revised platform versions, RAS improvements and general bug fixes.

Sun has announced two new solutions in its storage portfolio: the Sun StorageTek 9900 Dynamic Link Manager 6.1 (DLM) for Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, Windows and Linux, and Sun StorageTek 9900 Global Link Manager 6.1 (GLM).
