The Sun Identity Compliance Manager offering reduces the business risks and costs associated with enterprise access control through comprehensive identity auditing, access certification and policy enforcement.

Features of the Identity Compliance Manager offering provide automation for the key controls related to identity and access management, which are critical to ensuring sound IT systems security. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Ability to monitor any access rights that are beyond those assigned via roles
• Ability for a user's manager to certify/revoke individual access rights held by their direct reports
• Ability for data owners to view all users that have access to their individual data objects
• Ability for auditors to view entitlement reports for all users in various business units
• Ability to provide user to role assignment reports
• Adhoc query mechanisms on user access rights and roles held by users

Further, the Identity Compliance Manager offering provides the organization with control of their users' access rights to critical business information and services. It enables the organization to answer the key auditing questions related to access control and, by doing so, it reduces the cost of achieving and maintaining compliance:

• Who has access to what, when?
• Who approved those access rights?
• Are the access rights in line with policy?

This new offering was created to address a growing need in identity compliance led or identity compliance only opportunities.
